Taking delivery of comely virtues, good reports, to name but a few

You may want to put up a notice to unwanted mails of disbelief, worry and preoccupation
These do the heart no good

Mind your gates no less
That in seeing, you may see well and in hearing, hear distinctly

Leaving the door ajar may not be advisable in certain circumstances 
Not so where the rat-a-tat is from a compassionate face, a striking host, good company

In which case do leave the door, wide open
